Colette Capital was founded by Vito Balsamo our Chief Executive Officer in response to his observation over 30+ years of transactional work that emerging growth companies were not receiving quality advice or given access to quality introductions and generally did not have the resources to access “marquee” consulting firms to assist them in their growth. These companies almost universally settled for guidance from inexperienced sources. As a result, they continually made poor decisions and failed to achieve growth and other business objectives, much to the disappointment of their stockholders, employees, customers and other constituents.

Today, commercial credit is generally not provided to emerging growth and lower middle market companies by banks, but by alternative commercial credit firms, which may be funds, family offices, or specialty lenders.  While somewhat more expensive than traditional banks, alternative credit providers provide substantially more credit and are more flexible in structure and terms than traditional banks. We have developed an extensive network of alternative credit providers and assist not only in accessing partners with the right attitude and “fit”, but can assist in structuring and executing these transactions.
